Results of the May/June 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) taken by 1.6million candidates would be released tomorrow (Monday).
The Nigeria National Office of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Mr. Patrick Areghan would on Monday at Yaba head office of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) officially announce the release of the school candidates results in the afternoon.
The council had concluded marking of the answer scripts of 1,621,873 candidates on August 1 and would release the results this week.
Many candidates are expected to use the results to process the on-going admission exercise in the universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.
The concluded marking exercise involved 76 subjects and made up of 197 papers and was carried out in 85 marking venues and one-e-marking center.
In line with the council practice, the results of candidates, who sat for the school exam would be released 45 days after the conduct of the last paper.
A total of 1,621,853 SS3 students from 20,851 secondary schools registered for the WASSCE. Out of which 798,810 are males, representing 49.25 percent, while 823,043 are females that are 50.75 percent of the total candidature.
According to WAEC, the statistics indicate that there is a further increase and decrease in the number of females and males respectively, compared to the 2022 diet.
