Alleged Imposition: Akeredolu’s Wife lambasted over comments on Odigbo Council

Betty Akeredolu, wife of the Ondo state governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has again received knocks on social media over her comments posted on her official Facebook page on Odigbo local government.

There had been protests from the people of Odigbo local government against the first lady of Ondo state over allegation that she wanted to impose on them a non native as the chairman of the newly created local council development area from the local government area.

Some protesting youths on Tuesday also stormed the governor’s office at Alagbaka to kick against the alleged plan by Betty Akeredolu to impose an Igbo woman and her aide, Mrs Nwabara Eucharia as the new chairman of the LCDA.

Reacting on her Facebook, Betty Akeredolu however posted that, “Imagine🤔, 3 of 4 girls with disability sponsored 4 BEMORE Bootcamp are from Odigbo lga. See this life,😔 e no get balance!🤷🏿‍♀️”

The BEMORE Summer Boot Camp holding in Ondo state is an initiative aimed at empowering young girls with essential skills and knowledge in various fields, including technology, entrepreneurship, leadership, and personal development.

Betty Akeredolu’s comments however did not go down well with many people, condemning her for trying to short change the people of Odigbo local government.
