Residents of mechanic village area of Ondo road, Akure have advocated government’s urgent attention over the perennial flood which makes their road impassable during the rains.
They made the call as the area was recently flooded again making some residents to abandon their homes for many days.
A positive fm correspondent who visited the area reports that flood had taken over the only major access into the community with shop owners complaining of inability to open for business as a result of the situation.
Two of the residents, Mrs Racheal Oyewusi and Mr Ade Oluwalana lamented that many residents had to put up with relatives in town for many days when the area experienced another flooding.
Mrs Oyewusi and Mr Oluwalana appealed to the state government to come to their aid before the perennial flood caused more havoc in the community.
