Former deputy Majority leader of the Senate, Prof. Ajayi Boroffice, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu and vice president Kashim Shettima on their victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Akure, Senator Boroffice and Asiwaju of Akoko land says “On behalf of my family and supporters, I extend profound congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR and Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON on the resounding triumph at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT).
“The affirmation of the presidential mandate conforms with the wishes of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and aligns with the expectations of majority of Nigerians who voted en masse for the APC during the 2023 presidential election.
“The Judiciary is commended for rising above the obnoxious distractions and intimidation mounted by opposition forces to deliver such landmark judgment that has without doubt enriched and deepened the jurisprudence in Nigeria.
“I pray for renewed strength for the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration in the tough task of navigating Nigeria through fundamental economic reforms with huge medium – term and long – term economic benefits for all Nigerians.”
