In fulfilment of its promise to cushion the effects of the hardship being experienced by the people of Ondo State following the removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government the state government has commenced the distribution of palliatives to vulnerable households in Ile-oluji/Oke-igbo local government area.
Speaking at the distribution of bags of rice, the commissioner for finance, Mr Wale Akinterinwa said the palliatives was parts the state government’s efforts to sympathize with the people.
Represented by the lawmaker, representing Ile-Oluji Okeigbo constituency at the state House of Assembly, and co-Chairman, the Ile-Oluji/ Okeigbo- Local Government palliative implementation Committee, Akinsuroju Akindolani Nelson, Mr Akinterinwa said, “This ceremony is a fulfillment of the promise made by the State Government to carry along all necessary stakeholders in the grassroot for the disbursement of the palliatives to cushion the effects of Subsidy removal on Petrol.



“Before saying much, I will like to commend the Government of Ondo State led by Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN, CON and the Chairman of the State Palliative Committee, Our Own Wale Akinterinwa (Ajangamo) for their commitment to putting smile on the faces of the people of Ondo State and for going about the distribution of the palliatives with all modesty and uprightness.
“I will like to beseech us all to go about the disbursement of these palliatives with the motive of fulfilling all righteousness and ensuring that the purpose of the initiative is met.”
