Ranking Member House of Representatives, Hon. Abiola Makinde representing Ondo East and West Federal Constituency has donated relief materials to hundreds of his constituents.
In the wake of fuel subsidy removal and in order to mitigate the effects of it on his constituents, the Chairman House Committee on Human Rights has deemed it fit to donate relief materials which includes majorly foodstuff, mattresses, blankets and other food items to his people.
Hon. Makinde while speaking though his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Alli Moshood Abiodun said that he hoped this gesture would in no little way help his constituents.

“This marks a significant moment as we come together to acknowledge the power of compassion and community support. In times of hardship, it is our duty to stand united, and I am proud to announce the donation of relief materials to our constituents. This gesture exemplifies our commitment to the well-being of our community, as we recognize the challenges faced by many. As your representative, I aim to provide essential resources that will alleviate the burdens on my constituents from time to time.
“These relief materials, whether food, clothing, or other necessities, symbolize the strength that emerges when a community rallies behind those in need. Together, we can build a foundation of solidarity and resilience, demonstrating that even in the face of adversity, compassion and unity prevail. This donation not only addresses immediate needs but also fosters a sense of hope and shared responsibility. As we distribute these relief materials, let us remember that it is our collective effort that truly defines us as a community, capable of overcoming any challenge that comes our way.”

Some of the beneficiaries at the event expressed profound sense of gratitude to the Member House of Representatives for his thoughtfulness at this difficult time and said that the materials will go a long way for them and their respective families.
