The Rt Hon. Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, House of Assembly Complex, Igbatoro Road, Alagbaka G.R.A.. Akure.
Mr Speaker.
SUSPECTED FAKE LIST OF ONDO STATE LOCAL GOVERNMENT CARETAKER COMMITTEE MEMBERS
Mr Speaker, it has just been brought to our notice that the Ondo State House of Assembly under your able leadership is currently considering a list said to be the purported list of Ondo State Local Government caretaker committee members, same which is allegedly said to have been authored and signed by Mr Governor.
You would agree with us that recent developments in the state has imposed it on us to verify and be sure of the authenticity of every government action/document that may be ascribed to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of the State.
It is highly suspicious that just days after the reconciliation initiated and brokered by Mr President, this list (suspected to be forged) has emerged for the consideration of the House, even when all political and state actors are yet to settle down for official business in the state.
You would agree with us that it is very important that the state assembly is not deceived into taking an action that will be detrimental to the interest of peace and stability of the state. We strongly believe that the list under consideration is fake, forged and another attempt to throw the state into turmoil. It is therefore urged on you to take extreme care and caution in order not to throw the state into another intractable crisis.
Mr Governor is not an insensitive indigene of the state, going by the current reconciliatory mood, to send this list just few days after the status quo was urged to be maintained.
Please treat this as our concern for the state as it is better to err on the side of caution than to rush to destruction.
Our concern is bore out of the fact that the State Executive Council meeting has not held for the last three (3) months and such decision could not have been taken.
Accept the assurance of our most profound regards.
Faithfully
