In the spirit of celebration and efforts to show love to the vulnerable, the lawmaker representing Ileoluji Oke-igbo constituency at the Ondo state house of assembly, Nelson Akinsuroju has donated cash gifts and other items to patients admitted to various hospitals in the constituency during the festive period.
Others who received gifts from the lawmakers were the new born babies and their mothers.
Presenting the gifts to the beneficiaries on Monday, Akinsuroju said, “ I am visiting hospitals in my consistency to celebrate with patients and delivery women and also gave them cash gift and other materials.
“It has always been my usual habit to celebrate with the patients at the hospital very on 1st of every year.
“This gesture has nothing to do with politics or political parties but the spirit of reaching out to others who are unable to go all out and celebrate the festive season just like we are all doing.
“It will be unfair if we pretend as if all was good if we all dine and wine in our various homes but forget these categories of people.
To me, these people are the reasons for the season and I would not relent on associating with them every year and always.”
Akinsuroju expressed his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the new born babies at the hospitals in the state constituency.
