Lawmaker, representing Ileoluji Oke-igbo constituency at the Ondo state House of Assembly, Hon Nelson Akinsuroju has commenced the handing over of free JAMB registration forms to 100 students in the constituency .
In a statement made available to newsmen, the lawmaker said the fourth edition of the programme began on Wednesday 17th January, 2024 and will end Wednesday 31st January, 2024.
Akinsuroju who urged all eligible students to make themselves available for the opportunity, said that the venue for the registration is the Constituency office located at No 8, Okepote street, Ileoluji in Ile Oluji Oke-igbo local government Ondo.
Akinsuroju noted that the decision to pay the registration fees was to encourage children of the poor to attain higher education.
The lawmaker added that education unarguably is the power and it is only with sound education that any individual can be independent-minded, acquire knowledge to break shackles of poverty as well as become self-reliant.
According to the lawmaker, education is the panacea for addressing societal ills such as armed robbery, prostitution and other crimes.
