Group hails Tinubu for appointing Adama as MDGIF Governing Council Boss

Chairman of the Good Governance Advocacy group focusing on the Midstream and Downstream Gas Sector in Ondo State, Prince Niyi Ogunfeyinmi has extended his commendation to President Bola Tinubu for appointing Oluwole Adama, a seasoned oil and gas expert who hails from Ondo State, as the Executive Director of the nine-man Governing Council for the Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund (MDGIF).

Ogunfeyinmi praises President Tinubu for selecting the right person for the role, emphasizing Adama’s extensive experience and exemplary track record.

The MDGIF Governing Council, chaired by the Minister of State, Petroleum Resources (Gas), includes other members such as representatives from the Federal Ministry of Finance and independent members like Amina Maina, Edet David Ubong, and Tajudeen Bolaji Musa.

Expressing confidence in Oluwole Adama, a prince from the Niger Delta oil-rich Ilaje Local Government area of Ondo State, Ogunfeyinmi charged him to lead with transparency, discipline, and patriotism which he had always been known for in line with President Tinubu’s vision to bolster the gas sector for robust and inclusive economic growth in Nigeria.

In a related development, Comrade Orioye Gbayisemore, the National chairman advocacy groups for petroleum price controls in NigeriaDelta region congratulates Wole Adama and urges him to deliver world-class service marked by integrity, professionalism, accountability, and transparency.

Gbayisemore further emphasizes the need for Adama to address crucial issues under his leadership, including safety standards, environmental protection, pricing, market competition, and the availability of safety and environmental standards for consumers in the energy sector.

In the same vein, an Oil and Gas professional and a Financial Service provider based in Southampton , United Kingdom,Wale Kuboye has also Commended President Tinubu for repositioning the NMDPRA in a way it will bring productivity to the economy.

Kuboye assured that Nigerians will soon begin to see the effect of the laudible vision and progressive initiative of President Tinubu.

You may want to know that the NMDPRA, is responsible for regulating midstream and downstream petroleum operations in Nigeria, consolidates the functions of three previously separate agencies: Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA), Petroleum Equalization Fund (Management) Board (PEFMB), and the midstream and downstream division of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR).
