Ahead of the APC governorship primaries in Ondo State, aspiration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has been given a massive boost in Idanre Local Government Area as Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye has declared support for the governor.
Adefisoye, who is popularly known as Small Alhaji declared his maximum support for Aiyedatiwa on Tuesday from London, where he is currently holidaying. He asserted that Aiyedatiwa has shown leadership and should therefore be allowed to continue in office as Ondo State governor.
Small Alhaji said that genuine members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Idanre were already sensitizing the electorates and canvassing support for Governor Aiyedatiwa. He also added that no stone would be left unturned to ensure that Aiyedatiwa remains in office to continue his good job as Governor of Ondo State.
“This is our project and we are prepared to do everything necessary to ensure that the people of Idanre will give necessary support to Governor Aiyedatiwa. We are prepared to rally the leadership of APC in Idanre and even woo members of the opposition parties, to the side of Governor Aiyedatiwa.
“Concerted efforts will also
be made to get the buy-in of all our leaders, elders and youths in Idanre. Even our chiefs and kabiyesis in Idanre will all be carried along in this Aiyedatiwa’s project. We will also specifically carry along our artisans, market women, okada riders and transporters in all the nooks and crannies of Idanre. Basically, we want to ensure that all hands are on deck for Aiyedatiwa to continue in office as Ondo State Governor”.
Meanwhile, the former federal legislator also assured that support for Aiyedatiwa would be sustained ingeniously, in Idanre in the coming days. He also posited that the gospel of Aiyedatiwa would be preached convincingly with decency, civility and humility to the good people of Idanre.
“My take is that the governor should be given necessary support to continue in office. We will do the needful to ensure that Aiyedatiwa gets the support of vast majority of our good people in Idanre. .
We hope for a situation whereby Governor Aiyedatiwa will seamlessly continue in office after his current tenure”.
Adefisoye, however emphasized that his support for Aiyedatiwa was informed by his sterling leadership qualities, clear vision and humane nature. Small Alhaji also added that he was more convinced to support Aiyedatiwa because of the governor’s achievements and style of governance, since he got sworn-in as Ondo State Governor.
“As they say, taste of the pudding is in the eating. We have seen what Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has done in the last one month of taking charge as Ondo State Governor. We have seen his political maturity and leadership qualities. We have seen how sanity has been restored to governance in Ondo State in the last one month. He has given deserved attention to uncompleted projects in the state as well as the welfare of civil servants and retirees. A man that has done all these in only one month deserves to continue in office”, Adefisoye posited.
