2024: APC fully on Ground In Ondo – Eko-Davies

by Roving

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state, Elder Kunle Eko-Davies, has said the party remains a party to beat in the state.

In a press statement made available to journalists in Akure on Tuesday, Eko-Davies said the victory of the APC in the just concluded bye-election in Akoko is an indication that the ruling party will always win elections in Ondo state.

He said: “The just concluded bye-election in the state is the confirmation of the APC winning streak. To be honest, Ondo State is at this time lucky to have Lucky Ayedatiwa as its Governor. It is now evident that APC remains the party to beat.”

Eko-Davies, who is also a political strategist, added: “From my own point of view, I can see that Ondo state people are now embracing what we can call a one party system. If you look at the differences in the last Saturday bye-election, you will now discover that it is a far gap from what it used to happen in the past. And it is a confirmation that APC is fully on ground.

“Since I came back to Nigeria, I have been studying the performances of the governor, Aiyedatiwa. I can see that he is on the right track and his calculated attempts in appointing the right people.

“He is taking his steps cautiously and I can see he is trying as much as he can to bring the party together, because we have to first of all unify the party. May God bless the soul of the former governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN. He tried his best, he was a leader of note. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

“At the same time, I believe that Governor Ayedatiwa will do more. I can also tell you without mincing words, whoever APC picks will surely win the November 16 gubernatorial election in the state.

“It is going to be a loud victory. And my candid advice to all political gladiators in the state is that if you find yourself in a wrong party, the door of APC is open. Come and join us. We are a big family.”
