Meet MRS OMOWUMI ISAAC;
the woman who may become the first female Commissioner for Finance in Ondo State
On Friday, the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, nominated six people for appointment into his cabinet as Commissioners.
First on that list is Mrs. Omowumi Isaac, who happens to be the only female on the list. However, many people have asked, who is Mrs Omowumi Isaac?
Mrs. Omowumi Isaac, who hails from Owo local government area of the State, is a professional accountant and finance expert with local and international training and working experience.
Mrs Isaac is a United Kingdom-trained chartered accountant who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Finance from Middlesex University, London and an MSc in Professional Accountancy from University of London.
A former banker, Mrs Isaac is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, ACCA.
During the first term of former Governor of the State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Mrs Isaac served as the Director General of the Office of the Bureau of Public Procurement, ODBPP.
From all indications, Mrs. Isaac will be the first female to occupy the position of Finance Commissioner in Ondo State when screened, cleared and confirmed by the State House of Assembly.
Things are surely looking up in the Sunshine State.
