Eko-Davies, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, alongside his family, on Friday, laid to eternal rest, his mother-in-law; late Mrs Comfort Aduke Adesida.
Dignitaries from within and outside Ondo state joined the Eko-Davies family to bid Mrs Comfort Aduke Adesida goodnight.
Madam Comfort passed away at the ripe age of 88 leaving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The grand event, which held at the Ondo State International Cultural and Events Centre (The Dome), Alagbaka-Akure, was honoured by the state governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who was represented by his Special Assistant on Political Affairs, Mr. Smart Omodunbi jnr.
The colourful event was also honoured by political associates, TEAM Lucky 2024 , friends and family members of Eko-Davies home and abroad.
Eko-Davies, in his tribute said; “My mother in-law was a good woman, extremely good. I never for once regretted having her as a mother in law. She was a mother in millions.”
“She was kind hearted and a great philanthropist, she gives a lot, most especially to the poor “
Also, the daughter of the deceased, Princess Yemi Eko-Davies said; “My mother was a great woman that cherish her children, very passionate, loving, caring and above all, she has the fear of God in her. We will all miss her.”
In his message, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters, Smart Omodunbi described madam Adesida as an icon, which would be missed by her children.
He said; the demise of Mama Adesida was a great loss to the people of her community, her motherly role would be missed by her children. I therefore pray for the repose of her soul.”
