*** LACO-FS Owo chapter inaugurated
It was a massive turnout of supporters when the Executives of Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation -Foot Soldiers, (LACO-FS), was inaugurated on thursday 14th March, 2024 in Owo local government area of Ondo State with a former member of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Olayemi Adeyemi (aka Koko).
Inaugurating the Owo chapter, the LACO-FS Director-General, Hon. Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, expressed delight that Owo people are showing massive love to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s election project.
In a remark, the Owo local Government Director of LACO-FS and former member of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Olayemi Adeyemi (Koko) assured Aiyedatiwa of total support of Owo people as he runs to contest the April primaries and November 2024 Governorship Election in the state.
Hon. Adeyemi disclosed that “the only Agenda in Owo now is Lucky Aiyedatiwa/Adelami and therefore the people will stand by this and ensure the governor is victorious in both the APC Governorship Primaries in April and the general election in November this year.
“There is no much to say today. Let someone carry the message to the governor, Owo is totally for Lucky Aiyedatiwa/Adelami. We don’t have any option,” the former parliamentarian said.
Earlier, the former Chairman of Owo Local Government, Chief Samuel Adegbegi while addressing the gathering said the people of Owo came out to show their support for the governor in his governorship ambition in November.
Adegbegi posited that Governor Ayedatiwa has once again made Owo politically relevant in the sunshine state by appointing Chef Olayide Adelami, who is from the town as his deputy.
“We came here to show our support for Governor Ayedatiwa who deemed it fit to make our son the deputy governor of the state. So we must totally support him for this as he has made us politically relevant in the state after we lost our own son, the late former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
“Aiyedatiwa became governor naturally and by the making of the law. Although it is painful we lost Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu but there is nothing we can do. For Owo to remain in the front seat of politics in Ondo State, we are supporting our son who is now the deputy governor,” Adegbegi said.
The venue of the event was jam-packed with hundreds of APC members and supporters in the council area as well as from other areas in the Ondo North District.
Some of the personalities at the occasion were the former Chairman of Owo Local Government, Chief Samuel Adegbegi, former Chairman of Ondo Local Government Service Commission, Femi Idris, Ondo North Director of the organisation, Bisi Ogungbemi, the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency Director, Eniolorunda Omosule and the organisation’s Director of Student Affairs, Muyiwa Ogunyemi and host of other APC bigwigs from Owo Local Government and across the state.
