by Roving

Ahead of the April 25 governorship election primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, the APC Youths Vanguard has urged all party leaders to endorse Dr Paul Akintelure’s bid to govern the state.

The group emphasized the need for a Core progressive candidate with an unblemished academic record, unquestionable loyalty to the party, and the ability to unify all factions within the party.

In a statement released in Akure, the state capital, and signed by its Publicity Secretary, Lawrence Ajewole the youths expressed confidence that Akintelure’s candidacy would be both viable and widely acceptable.

The APC group lauded Akintelure’s longstanding commitment to the Progressive Party family and his significant contributions to the party.

The youths also praised his leadership abilities and expertise, naming him the best candidate to lead both the state and the party.

“Dr. Paul Akintelure, a trained medical doctor, has been part of the progressive family since the days of UPN. He was a dedicated member of the AD.

“As a member of the defunct ACN, he made significant contributions to the party’s progress, and he was the party’s southern senatorial district candidate in the 2011 general election.

“As a core progressive, he was unanimously accepted by all party members as the running mate of late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, in the 2012 governorship election.

“Dr Akintelure was one of the governorship aspirants in the 2016 election, but he withdrew and supported Dr Segun Abraham because of our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Akintelure has a clear vision for Ondo State.” He has articulated his vision for the prosperity of our dear state. He is known for his honesty and dedication to ethical behaviour. He has a reputation for honesty, transparency, and accountability, all of which are necessary qualities in a leader.” the Youths said.
