Ahead of next month governorship primary election of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, leaders of the party in Okeigbo Community of Ile-oluji/Oke Igbo local government have endorsed and affirmed their backing for the candidacy of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to get the ticket of the party and continue as Governor of the State beyond February 2025.
The endorsement came during the APC Party stakeholders meeting where Mr Wole Oyemakinde from Okeigbo Ward 2 moved the motion for endorsement and seconded by Mr Bayo Mayokun.
While moving the motion for the endorsements, members of Okeigbo APC also unanimously support the Governor as their candidate for the forthcoming primary in April and the gubernatorial election in November 2024.
The ward Chairmen, Excos, Unit chairmen, Leaders, Critical stakeholders, and other party faithfuls of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the community converged at the Oluoke palace hall on Sunday 17th March 2024 to publicly endorse HE Lucky Aiyedatiwa as their candidate come 2024 primary election.
A political leader and former Chairman of Ondo State Waste Management Authority,Hon. Shina Fadamitan said governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is the right candidate to take Ondo state to the next level.
Hon Fadamitan expressed his confidence in the ability of Governor Aiyedatiwa to move the State forward, urging the people of Okeigbo to back him and support his endorsement.
Fadamitan said, “Under Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, we have seen tangible improvements in infrastructure development, improvement in healthcare, and opportunities for young people,his inclusive governance approach to ensures that the voices of youth are heard and considered in decision-making processes.”
Hon. Fadamitan at the event stressed that the common interest of communities people can only be protected and promoted by the election of Governor Aiyedatiwa for another term.
Also another political leader in the area, Chief Mrs Rebecca Adeoyin, said the Okeigbo community wholeheartedly support and endorse Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the upcoming primary election as our candidate and we are confident in his ability to continue leading Ondo State towards greater heights.
Adeoyin who was also a former Chairman of Ileoluji/Okeigbo Local Government expressed her confidence in the ability of Governor Aiyedatiwa to lead the State forward, urging the people of Okeigbo to throw their weight behind him.
The former council boss said: “Everything expressed here today in Okeigbo will also resonate across all local governments because we are one party.
Chief Mrs Adedoyin stressed that ,One key factor motivating their support for Aiyedatiwa is his attentiveness, listening ears, Okeigbo wholeheartedly endorse his aspiration and assured everyone that Aiyedatiwa’s tenure will benefit all.
The leader of the party in Okeigbo and one of the notable statement in Ondo State , Chief Nathaniel Taiwo Fapohunda who also address the gathering said he is confident that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s visionary leadership will continue to propel Ondo State forward, okeigbo will support his candidacy for another term in office.
At the end of the meeting, all the stakeholders unanimously endorsed the candidature of HE Lucky Aiyedatiwa and declare Okeigbo for him
Some of the prominent leaders at the meeting included, Chief N. T. Fapohunda, Hon Shina Fadamitan, Chief Mrs Taye Adeoyin, Hon Adejare Adeyefa, Dr. Ade Omololu, Pastor Sunday Ige and Dr. Bolu Adeboye.
Others are, Mrs Bernice Adetunlese, Elder Olaniran Fiola, Mr Martins Akinniyi, Mr Bisi Osedayo, Mr Charles Adedeji, Mrs Nike Ogunjimi Among others.
