He explained that the military personnel handed the defendants to Department of Security Service ( DSS) in Akure while the DSS handed over to police.
The prosecution counsel, therefore, submitted a remand application with a 16-paragraph affidavit in support of the application to the court.
The prosecution counsel told the court that the affidavit was accompanied with 11 exhibits.
The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the allegation.
Responding to the application, the defendants’ counsel, Mr O.A Olahanmi, prayed the court for adjournment of the case to enable him to reply to the remand application submitted by the prosecution counsel.
Ruling on the case, the court’s Magistrate, Mrs O.W Dosunmu, adjourned the case to March 27 to enable the defendants’ counsel respond to remand application filed by the prosecution.
Dosunmu added that the defendants should be remanded in police custody.
