by Roving

The Wale Akinterinwa (WA) Campaign Organisation has officially inaugurated its local government and ward coordinators in Owo, ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship election primary on April 25 in Ondo State.

These coordinators are tasked with starting a ward-by-ward mobilisation of APC card-carrying members for WA in the event that the party uses the direct primary mode for the primary election.

Hon Olushina Fatai-Lawal, the WA coordinator in Owo, revealed this to journalists shortly after the inauguration of coordinators at the Federal Medical Centre (FM) Annex Hall in Ijebu-Owo.

The Owo WA coordinator also stated that the campaign team has implemented strategies to ensure Wale Akinterinwa, who is one of the party’s leading aspirants, receives the party ticket.

He emphasised that it is the responsibility of ward coordinators to communicate Akinterinwa’s message to thousands of APC members in Owo about the importance of supporting Akinterinwa to succeed their late leader, Arakurin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN CON.

“Having realised that the April 25 APC primary election remains the most important poll because the PDP in Ondo State is in shambles, and whoever emerges from the APC poll will undoubtedly win the November 16 poll, it is our responsibility to ensure that the APC selects the best candidate for our beloved state, and who is the best choice? Mr. Wale Akinterinwa.

“I want to make it clear that Wale Akinterinwa is experienced, God-fearing, people-oriented, credible, approachable, and respectful. We will not regret electing him as our next governor.

“I can also assure our party members that in Akinterinwa’s government and as the party’s leader, he will allow for a full democratic process to elect who will lead us at the party level.

Other APC leaders who spoke at the event included Hon. Adebayo Gere of (Ipele), Hon. (Barrister) Olatunbosun Aganun, Hon. Tunde Owadimibola, Hon. Felix Ikeolu, Mr Gbenga General, Hon. (princess) Ojomo, and Mr. Bayode Bimbo, among others.

Alhaji Super Apenuwa, Chairman of the Owo Tipper Garage Association of Nigeria, Owo Branch, also attended the political event.
