As the All Progressives Congress APC prepares for its primary election next month in Ondo state, a group known as the Omoluabi Coalition Group has advised the party to thoroughly screen all the aspirants and ensure that the most qualified among them pick the ticket if it wants to remain in power after 2024.

Addressing Newsmen in Akure, the Director General of the group, Comrade Tunji Balogun, however recommended Chief Olusola Oke to the Party having be the most qualified among all the aspirants.

Comrade Balogun, noted that the race to the government house should be exposed to an experienced and grassroot politician like Chief Oke.

He cautioned that any attempt by the national leadership of APC to pick any of the other aspirants, especially those whose qualifications are questionable, would open door for the opposition parties to get the power through the backdoor.

Comrade Balogun said the coalition had screened all the aspirants and checked their background information before making decisions to support Chief Oke, who is also a grassroot politician who understands the State more than others contesting.

The group said further that the governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa chooses wrongly by declaring his intention openly on 27th December, 2023, at the cocoa conference hall at the governor’s office when he greeted everyone that ” a ku Orire o” meaning Congratulations a day after the demise of his boss.

He also said that the governor could not hide his desperate mood even before his late boss was laid to rest, meaning that he has no empathy.

Reading the profiles of major aspirants, the group said Olusola Oke was the only aspirants.

He said the ticket should be given to someone who could manage the business of the state properly.
