The Ondo State House Of Assembly has ratified the appointment of 12 commissioner designates.
Those confirmed are Pastor Segun Ayerin, Mr. Olaolu Akindolire, Alhaji Hamidu Takuro, Dr. Banji Ajaka, Mr. Boye Ologbese, Mr. Sunday Akinwalere, Deaconess Lola Fagbemi, Mr. Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, Mr. Rasheed Badmus, Mr. Olayato Aribo, Mr. Adewale Akinlosotu, and Mr Gbenga Olaniyi.
Governor lucky aiyedatiwa had last week forwarded to the House the names of new Commissioner-nominees for confirmation.
Presenting the report, the chairman house committee on selection and deputy speaker prince Abayomi Akinruntan said the nominees were found to be capable and mentally fit to perform the task ahead.
In an address, the speaker Mr olamide oladiji said the task of building ondo state was enormous hence all commissioners must be ready to put in their best as this administration cannot afford to fail .
Responding on behalf of the commissioner designates, deaconess Lola Fagbemi Thank the state governor for the trust reposed in them by nominating them to serve and promised that they would give their best In running the affairs of the state.
Recall that the House of Assembly in February screened and confirmed the appointment of six Commissioner- nominees sent by the State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
They are Mr. Olukayode A. Ajulo, Razaq Obe, Ifedore, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan, Akinwumi Sowore, Mr. Oseni Oyeniyi and Mrs. Omowumi Isaac.
The lawmakers have however processed on 5 weeks recess to enable them partake in political activities ahead of party primaries as they will resume may 9, 2024.
