Timothy Ayesuwa (Timo Akewi), a member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and candidate of the party for the 2023 Ondo state house of assembly election in Okitipupa Constituency 1, has announced his resignation as a member of the party with immediate effects.
Indicating a desire for a more political participation and a rejuvenate vision for the future, Timo Akewi expressed gratitude for his time within the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
In his words, “After much introspection and consideration, I have made this difficult but profiting decision to resign from the Social Democratic Party,(SDP)”. “I am grateful for the chance of a lifetime and experiences I’ve had while being a member of the party. However, I believe it is time for me to explore new dispensation and viewpoint for the interest of my followers and constituents.
Timo Akewi , accentuate that this decision was not self-interest driven but a very hard decision for advancement of his political beliefs and goals for the future.
I remain devoted to pleasing my people and preaching a positive change,” affirmed Timothy Ayesuwa.
“While my affiliation with the Social Democratic Party comes to an end, my dedication to advancing social justice, equality, and progress remains unwavering.”
The former SDP statesman and assembly candidate expressed his profound gratitude for the support received during his time with the Social Democratic Party and looks forward to continuing his political journey in new capacities.
