••• Says Aiyedatiwa remains the best
A popular and Ondo state born political activist, Jimmy Adekanle has returned to the state from Canada to continue his support for governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa ahead of the APC governorship primary in April 20.
The activist was welcome by his supporters who stormed the Akure Airport around 2pm on Tuesday.
Speaking with Newsmen, Adekanle said nothing would change his mind from supporting Aiyedatiwa, having been tested and confirmed as the best among other aspirants.
He said, “I just came in and I am supporting my able governor, governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa because he is the most experienced, having got through the deputy cadre of the state and as a governor right now, the people of the state can see his performance which he has done so far.
“Out of all the contestants, he remains the best and am very sure he is going to deliver and am assuring the people that Aiyedatiwa will get the ticket.
“He is the incumbent governor and a party man. What then is the reason why they want to collect the ticket from him ?
“Aiyedatiwa is not in conflict with anybody and the party leadership both in the state and the national. For the past two months now, you can see the difference.
“Speaking on the allegation of certificate forgery against the governor, he said the allegations would not hold water and would not stop Aiyedatiwa from winning the primary election and the governorship election in November.
He promised to canvass votes for Aiyedatiwa, saying “In my own domain in Irele local government where I come from, with the support of other leaders, Aiyedatiwa will get 100 percent votes.”
