I won’t condone Gossiping, Backbiting – Ondo Commissioner warns Workers

The new Commissioner for Water Resources, Public Sanitation, and Hygiene in Ondo State, Mr. Sunday Akinwalere has officially assumed office on Monday, warning workers in the ministry against acts that could militate against the growth of the civil service.

The Administrative Secretary, Mrs. Victoria Adetoye, with the management and other staff of the ministry, welcomed the Commissioner and assured him of a seamless working relationship.

Mrs. Adetoye also assured the Commissioner of the readiness of staff of the ministry to work with him towards implementing the programmes and policies of government as they relate to the ministry for the overall development of the state and her people.

The Commissioner, Mr. Sunday Akinwalere while expressing gratitude to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the opportunity given him to serve the people of the state, solicited the unalloyed cooperation and commitment of the staff of the ministry towards achieving the goals of the administration.

While underscoring the need for transparency and diligence in achieving the ministry’s objectives, the Commissioner emphasized his stance against office gossiping, backbiting and laziness.

He stressed the importance of teamwork in tackling complex issues and achieving a comprehensive development in the Water Resources and Sanitation sector.

Also, the General Manager of RUWASSA, Engr. Rotimi Oladimeji, while welcoming the Commissioner, advocated a collective commitment towards addressing the pressing challenges in the water sector, stressing that with the assumption of duty by the Commissioner, the stage is set for progress and development.
