No fewer than 36 Students of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) Staff Secondary School were among the highest scoring candidates in the 2024 UTME results recently released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB.
A record from the school showed that over 20 students of the school scored above 270 marks, while the 16 under-listed rated overall best in the school.

In a remark, the Principal, Mrs Olukemi Adekanmbi disclosed that the School had been working tirelessly to get good results and set new standards.
She noted that the students who are being showcased were products of the hard and selfless efforts of both the staff and students themselves.
Mrs Adekanmbi expressed joy that the School was not lagging behind and gave the assurance that the successes recorded would be sustained to take the School to greater heights.
Commending the students, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji expressed gratitude to God for the success recorded..
She also thanked the teachers for their effort in instilling knowledge in the students and urged them to keep winning.
Prof Oladiji commended the students for investing time and work towards achieving good results and their parents and guardians for supporting them.
The Vice-chancellor urged the students not rest on their oars as they transit to tertiary education.
