The Lawmaker representing Ileoluji Oke-igbo constituency at the Ondo State House of Assembly, Nelson Akinsuroju has revealed how he empowered over 200 households in his constituency in the last one year of his tenure in office.
Akinsuroju said the empowerment was part of his responsibility to liberate the people of Ileoluji Oke-igbo constituency from poverty and other challenges.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Akure, Akinsuroju highlighted his achievements in office in the last 12 months as Ondo State House of Assembly lawmaker.
He however appealed to the good people of Ileoluji/Okeigbo, to continue to support his vision and quest for the growth and development of the Constituency and appreciated everyone for their support so far.
SCORECARD ACHIEVEMENTS SO FAR
- Scholarship award for 10 Indigenous Secondary School Students in Ile-Oluji &. Oke-Igbo.
- Relief materials for baby that lost her mother at birth in Ile-Oluji.
- Painting of Bamikemo Central Mosque.
- Motion for the rehabilitation of damaged bridges and drenching of overfilled rivers to cushion the effects of erosion in Ile-Oluji & Oke-Igbo.
- Appointment of four (4) aides from Ile-Oluji & Oke-Igbo.
- Appointment as Chairman House Committee on Solid Minerals and other Standing Committees.
- Response to urgent call to grade the road leading to the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Divine Favour Parish, Ile-Oluji.
- Facilitation of employment for over Constituents in the Nigeria Immigration Service
- Supervision of distribution of palliatives as Chairman of the committee in Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government.
- Visitation for oversight function to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Skills Acquisition Center, Ile-Oluji and immediate recommendation of rehabilitation of the Center to serve as Vocational Training Center for Youth in the Constituency
- Empowerment for 100 aged and widows in Ile-Oluji & Oke- Igbo Constituency.
- Free Jamb Registration for 100 indigenous students in Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Constituency
- Facilitation of employment for 6 indigenes of Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Constituency in Ondo State Internal Revenue (ODIRS)
- Distribution of food items to Indigenous Muslims as part of Ramadan Celebration.
