- Declares Support for Aiyedatiwa ahead of governorship Poll
The Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Pastor Olajide Ipinsagba, has given out bursary awards for 1,000 students of higher institutions across the six local government areas of the zone.
Senator Ipinsagba while addressing political leaders and other stakeholders at a Town Hall Meeting in Akungba-Akoko on Sunday also called on the people of Ondo State to allow continuity and vote Governor Aiyedatiwa in the November 16th Governorship Election.
Speaking on the bursary, Senator Ipinsagba said it was borne out of his passion for education and support for youth development especially in Ondo North Senatorial District.
Some of the benefitting students, Miss Folasade Oladele and Olamide Ibrahim expressed pleasure with the gesture of Senator Ipinsagba in supporting education.
The lawmaker expressed confidence in Governor Ayedatiwa to deliver true democratic dividends to the people of Ondo State.
During the town Hall meeting, Senator Ipinsagba reeled out his account of stewardship to the people of Ondo North Senatorial District in the last one year of his representing the people.
Some of the Special intervention programs mentioned by Senator Ipinsagba included distribution of fertilizer to farmers, relief materials to rainstorm victims, palliatives distribution across the six local government areas of the Senatorial district.
He noted that in his one year in office, he facilitated the construction of 1.5km road in Oka-Akoko, Cottage health facilities in Akunnu-Akoko, 28 lock up shops in Oka-Akoko, ongoing boreholes construction in Owo, Ose and solar powered streetlights among other people oriented projects in the pipeline.
The Town Hall meeting was attended by APC party leadership in Ondo North among whom is the Chairman of SUBEB, Hon Victor Olabimtan, APC State Treasurer, Deacon Ishola Moshood, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa on Security, Hon Gbenga Atiba, Senior Special Assistant on Students Affairs, Comrade Solomon Olaolu Kelvin, some Political appointees, traditional rulers, women groups, Iyalojas, Artisans and National Union of Road Transport workers, NURTW representatives and other stakeholders.
