Senator Ipinsagba Trains 100 Female Constituents on ICT in Ondo

In view of alleviating the suffering of the people and creating job opportunities through self employment, the Senator, representing Ondo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Jide Ipinsagba has facilitated Training of 100 females on ICT Profit Maximisation.

The move was aimed at providing enabling environment to thrive well and sustain participants using modern technology.

The training in collaboration with Nigeria Stored Product Research Institute was also meant to address the growing issue of Unemployment and divert attention from waiting on white-collar jobs.

The training which paraded expert resource persons in the ICT industry kicked started from Ikare-Akoko and will also hold in Owo Local Government area of Ondo North Senatorial District.

Speaking at the flag off, Senator Jide Ipinsagba said he was more concerned about the people of his Senatorial District as well as their well being.

Senator Ipinsagba noted that the training which brought together females with ICT experience will enable participants leverage on technology for business growth and economic empowerment.

“My intention is to bridge the digital divide and promote gender inclusivity in Digital economy.”

According to Senator Ipinsagba, the 100 participants will be given laptops and start up grants.

“Our women will be equipped with skills to thrive in today’s technology-driven world.”

Senator Ipinsagba urges participants to be attentive and be ready to utilise skills to be acquired maximally.

The Lawmaker also promised more fruitful engagement with the people of Ondo North Senatorial District in the overall interest of all.

The training basically for females who are ICT compliant is being held at Niima Hotel Hall, Ikare-Akoko and will continue at the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Hall, Owo from Saturday July 27th, 2024.

Participants were selected from the six local government areas of the Senatorial District, Akoko North-West, Akoko North-East, Akoko South-West, Akoko South-East, Ose and Owo.
