••• Directs Upward Review of their Monthly Allowance
Following Roving Reporters’ publication on the plight of lepers at a settlement known as Ago-ireti in Akure ,the state capital, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has given directive for the payment of their 9-month outstanding stipend.
On September 13th, 2024, the attention of the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Lucky Aiyedatiwa, was brought to the unfortunate delay in the payment of stipends to the residents of Ago-Ireti.
In response, Governor Aiyedatiwa has now directed the immediate disbursement of all outstanding arrears. Furthermore, he has approved an upward review of the stipends in line with the current economic realities.
The governor remains committed to his administration’s policy of inclusivity and prioritizing the well-being of all citizens. No one, including the vulnerable, will be overlooked.
