The Ondo Reform Vanguard has raised the alarm over the operations of God Lovely Nigeria Enterprise within the government reserve areas of Ondo State.
The group urged the State Government to intervene and halt what it described as illegal activities.
In a series of petitions, , the group condemned the company’s operations, dismissing its claims of being a government consultant as “self-proclaimed” and lacking official legitimacy.
At a meeting held on Friday, the group called on the CEO of God Lovely Nigeria Enterprise, Mr Femi Ajayi ‘Alabora,’ issuing a stern warning about the potential risks his company’s actions pose to the future of Ondo State.
“God Lovely Nigeria Enterprise’s activities in government reserve areas like Olorunsogo, Oloruntedo, Tokundo Laje, and Lake Abomi will definitely do the state more harm than good.
The investors with MOUs with the government concerning these areas will one day demand compensation from the government,” they stated.
The group also challenged Mr Femi Ajayi ‘Alabora’ to provide the essential documents supporting his activities.
They stated: “Government reserve areas are managed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and no MOU from the ministry has been signed to approve God Lovely Nigeria Enterprise’s consultancy activities inside the government reserves. We challenge the company to publish their letter of engagement.”
‘Those forest reserves areas have been declassified and concession to investors like ACME, SAO, REX Forestry etc. Those companies have signed MOU with the government through ONDIPA in the aforementioned forest areas. This is double taxation. This investors will definitely demand for compensation in the future and will affect state revenue; they added
The group urged the Ondo State Government, particularly the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, to investigate the activities of God Lovely Nigeria Enterprise in the government reserve areas to avert future damage to the state’s revenue.
