Motailatu Church of God, Oke-Idahun Parish, Aremolekun Mountain, Imafon Road, Akure, is set to celebrate its 18th Founder’s Anniversary in a unique 3-in-one ceremony.
This year’s event coincides with the Holy Michael Day anniversary on September 29th and marks the conclusion of the 7-Day Marathon Spiritual Seclusion of the parish’s Resident Minister, Very Rev’d David Akinadewo-Adekahunsi, popularly known as Aremolekun.
According to Aremolekun, the 7-Day Marathon Programme began on Sunday, September 22, and will culminate on Saturday, September 28.
The Founder’s Day and Holy Michael Anniversaries will be celebrated simultaneously on Sunday, September 29.
Aremolekun, a renowned spiritual music artiste and senior journalist, extended an invitation to well-wishers and the public to join the celebrations.
He said the preacher on the anniversary day will be Prophet Aluko Olorunfemi.
In his words: “From last Sunday to Saturday, various ministers of God will mount the pulpit to bless the congregation.
These include Pastor Olatunde Onifade, Prophet Possibilitarian Oluwalofunmilomobi, Prophet Ariyo Seun, Prophet Oluwatuyi Oluwaseyi, Prophet Adeleye Adigun, Prophet Joshua Ijabamido, and Prophet Faleye Ezekiel Damilola.”
Akinadewo-Adekahunsi emphasised that the anniversary promises to be a spiritual rejuvenation experience, with soul-stirring sermons, inspiring music, and fervent prayers.
Noting that the congregation and guests will be blessed by the ministering of these anointed ministers of God, he appreciated the Chairman, Board of Trustees of Motailatu Church of God worldwide, Senior Superintendent Gabriel F. Akinadewo for providing the leadership needed for the progress of the church.
While also remembering the spiritual guidance provided by his father and founder of Motailatu Church of God Organisation Worldwide, Saint Isaiah M. Akinadewo, which led to the planting of the Akure parish on rented land in 2006, Aremolekun expressed joy that the Church had since moved to its permanent site, hoping that the house of prayer will be completed soon.
He added that the Motailatu Church of God family looks forward to “sharing this special moment with the community, and all are welcome to attend.”
