Officers’ promotion exam: Army urges Ondo Residents Not to Panic

The Nigerian Army has urged residents of Akure not to panic as they see sporadic movement of military vehicles and personnel during the Captain and Major Practical Promotion Examination 2024.

Major Njoka Irabor, Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations 32 Artillery Brigade, Nigerian Army, Akure stated this in a statement made available to Roving Reporters on Friday.

The statement

The 32 Artillery Brigade Nigerian Army (NA), is scheduled to host the 2024  Captain to Major Practical Promotion Examination (CMPPE)  from Saturday 28 September – Saturday 12 October 2024 in Akure, Ondo State.

The  CMPPE is a routine   exercise of the  NA  conducted annually , to enhance the career progression and  capacity development  of NA officers of the rank of Captain,  to prepare  them for higher appointment and respinsibilities  in the NA.

During the period of the exercise, there will be movement of military personnel and vehicles within Akure and environs.

The general public is hereby requested not to panic, but go about their lawful activities, as adequate measures have  been put in place to ensure the safety of lives and properties during the period of the  exercise.
