Late Alayeluwa Oba Ajibola Raphael Olaleye Oluyede, Ise Oluwa II, the Alayede of Ayede Ogbese will receive the first posthumous Award from De Emeralds at the forthcoming 2024 annual Prestigious Award Event in Ondo state.
The monarch who joined his ancestors in December 2023 will be receiving the Posthumous Award in due acknowledgement of his landmark achievements and impacts towards the development of the people and his communities while alive.
In a statement, Dr Olugbenga Obagbemi, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of De Emeralds said the event scheduled for Sunday 17th Nov. 2024 at 3:pm will be a virtual edition.
In a letter written to HRH Olori Olufunmi Oluyede, the wife of the late monarch and obtained by Roving Reporters, Obagbemi said, “It is with great honour and reverence that I want to give the very first posthumous Emeralds Award to your esteemed husband, a testament to his enduring legacy, and exceptional contributions.
“His remarkable achievements and character left an indelible mark, inspiring countless individuals. Although he may no longer be with us, his impact endures.“
Other eminent personalities expected to be honoured include the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Chief Olaide Adelami and Bishop Felix-Remi Adejumo, General Overseer of Agape Christian Ministries International.
Others are renowned real estate magnate and Philanthropist, Chief Olu Okeowo as well as Arthur Otoijamun, Founder and Chief Executive OfficerofAristo Games and Bistro, Oba Ile, Ondo State.
Dr Obagbemi said prominent Nigerians would also grace the award event including the Patron-in-Chief of De Emeralds, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, the Ooni of Ife, and life Patron of De Emeralds Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi and Deji of Akure and Grand Patron of the group, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi Ogunlade, among others.
Roving Reporters reports that the 2024 edition of the De Emeralds Prestigious Awards is the seventh edition of its kind where some Nigerians who stand out in their various chosen fields had been honoured.
