Following allegations by the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, in Ondo state that the state government had denied the party from using Democracy Park for its campaign, the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation Foot Soldiers Independent Council (LACO-FSIC) has described such claim as unfounded which “falls in line with the party’s predilection for telling lies.“
PDP on Saturday alleged that it had earlier applied for the usage of the Democracy Park, in Akure, the state capital, for its campaign slated for October 15, 2024, but was later denied by the state government.
Reacting in a statement made available to Roving Reporters on Monday, Kayode Fasua, State Information Director, LACO-FSIC said, “The latest hysteria from the PDP, which is the allegation of being denied the use of Democracy Park Akure for their campaign, falls in line with the party’s predilection for telling lies.
“Otherwise, the party would have been bold enough to quote copiously from their letter of application for the venue, and also from the proclaimed letter of rejection from the state government.
“This has again exposed the PDP in Ondo State as a party that has already lowered the bar for itself; lacking in substance and bereft of finesse.
“Nonetheless, it would also not be out of place that the venue had earlier been booked by another organisation for October 15 before the PDP indicated interest in using the facility on same day or at the same period.“
