Ahead of the next month governorship election in Ondo state, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Monday unveiled campaign materials to secure not lesser than 700,000 votes for his election.
Aiyedatiwa, represented by his Deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami at the event held in Akure the state capital also inaugurated a special interest committee for the 18 council areas to ensure landslide victory for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa
The Inauguration of special interest committee and unveiling of APC 700,000 votes for sure for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is part of strategies by the All Progressives Congress APC in Ondo state to canvas votes for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the November 16 governorship elections.
Governor Aiyedatiwa congratulated members of the special interest committee and urgently them to do something different that will make them achieve 700,000 votes for Governor Aiyedatiwa.
He urged party faithful to go back to their units and canvas grassroots support in the 18 council areas to meet the target of 700, thousand votes in the November 16 elections.
Director General, Aiyedatiwa/Adelami campaign organization, Dr Abiola makinde called on members to be united and deliver their polling units for APC
APC Chairman in Ondo state, Ade Adetimehin said members must re- double their efforts to surpass earlier votes by engaging on aggressive grassroots mobilization.
Als speaking, the Director General, APC special interest committee for Aiyedatiwa/Adelami, Prince Biyi Poroye said “We need to win brilliantly.“
Poroye said “Every last Saturday of every month is when landlords have their meetings. So, it is our duty as members of APC to reach out to landlords associations across the state and preach the antecedents of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
“If we do that, we will win more people to the party and achieve the target set for us, 700,000 votes”.
Highpoint of the event include the unveiling of campaign materials for members of the special interest committee to intensify campaigns at the grassroots.
