A Former Deputy Speaker, Ondo state House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Barrister Ogundeji Iroju has congratulated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State on his victory at the last Saturday governorship election in the state.
In a statement made available to Newsmen in Akure, the Ondo state capital on Monday, the former deputy speaker described governor Aiyedatiwa’s victory as the victory of the people of Ondo state regardless of their Party affiliations.
He pointed out that the next four years on Ondo state would witness unprecedented development under the leadership of government Aiyedatiwa.
Iroju commended INEC as well as the security agencies for efficient implementation of the constitutional guidelines in the conduct of the election.
The former deputy speaker noted that the outcome of the governorship election was true reflection of the people’s will and it validated the acceptability of Governor Aiyedatiwa in Ondo state.
He explained that the people of the state have chosen right by voting for Aiyedatiwa, who he described as a round peg in a round hole.
The legal professional urged the governor to be magnanimous in victory and truly extend the olive branch to the opposition candidates towards the development of Ondo state.
He however expressed the confidence that governor Aiyedatiwa would continue to put smiles on the faces of Ondo people through laudable projects and implementation of policies.
