The attention of the National Association of Ondo State Students (NAOSS) has been drawn to a recent publication, including a statement purportedly issued and containing unfounded allegations against the association’s leadership.
The association is also aware of the report circulated by SaharaReporters alleging the leadership of the association of embezzling.
The allegation is baseless and malicious and it is contrary to the principles and integrity of NAOSS.
It is apparent that the publication is the result of deliberate efforts to tarnish the reputation of NAOSS and its leadership after being lacked basis in truth and appeared entirely false and misleading.
NAOSS remains committed to upholding due process, transparency, and the highest standards of integrity. It is not, and will never be, a platform for baseless accusations or irresponsible conduct.
We call on Sahara Reporters and other media outlets to adhere to journalistic ethics by ensuring the accuracy and credibility of their reports. Publishing unverified and unsubstantiated claims not only harms the reputation of individuals and organizations but also fosters unnecessary discord within the student community.
NAOSS remains a symbol of exemplary student leadership and unwavering commitment to the advancement of our members. We will not allow external forces or unscrupulous individuals to undermine the unity and progress of our association.
We urge all stakeholders and members of the public to disregard any divisive narratives and stand firm in support of the principles that guide our association.
