The Nigeria Association of Social Workers (NASOW) Ondo State Chapter has extended its warmest congratulations to the State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his Deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami, on their resounding victory in the recently concluded gubernatorial election held on November 16, 2024.
Mr Fatogun Oluwole, the State Chairman of NASoW, felicitated with the Governor and his Deputy in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Comrade Kimikiyo Magi. The publication expressed the association’s optimism and expectation that the governor’s tenure would usher in a new era of social change and development in Ondo State.
Fatogun emphasized that the association and its members, which cut across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in the 18 Local Government Areas of the State, are full of hope that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration will translate to better living conditions for the people of Ondo State. He stated, “We are confident that your tenure will bring joy, prosperity, and development to our people.”
The NASoW Chairman also commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for his past support for the association. He recalled that the Governor had attended and declared open the association’s first-ever global rally during the International Social Work Day held on March 17, 2020, at the Governor’s office grounds, Akure. Fatogun expressed his appreciation for the governor’s demonstration of commitment to social work and development.
Furthermore, the association believes that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s mandate is a testament to his achievements during his tenure in the last administration. They expressed their expectation that his administration would build upon his past accomplishments and bring about remarkable improvements in the lives of Ondo State citizens.
The association noted that the welfare programs initiated by the Aiyedatiwa administration align with NASoW’s Motto of “Service to Humanity.”” They expressed their commitment to collaborating with the governor’s administration to promote social change, development, and the well-being of Ondo State citizens.
