••• Commiserates with Ondo State Government, Akure kingdom
The Global Executive Council of Oyemekun Grammar School, Akure Alumni Association has expressed their great shock on the sudden death of the Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi a.k.a Tuykana.
In a statement by the Global President of the Association, Dr. Adeniyi Ijogun, Tuykana’s death is a tragic loss to the people of Akure kingdom and Ondo State as a whole. According to him, the state has lost a courageous and steadfast man, who has shown good leadership traits and love for his people.
He said the news of his death came as a rude shock to the members of the Alumni Association globally.
Ijogun described Hon. Oluwatuyi as a man of conviction, who never reneged his disposition for the truth and justice.
He said Tuykana was a role model to many, who has left legacies and indelible marks in the life of many. Though, his death is very painful, he will forever be remembered for his good deeds.
Hon. Oluwatuyi was a peace loving man, who also devoted his lifetime and energy to the course of our dear Sunshine State to attain the best.
As a brilliant administrator and a bridge builder, he used his resources towards advancing the cause of human and community development endeavours. and we will surely miss his pragmatic approach to governance and administration.
While commiserating with the Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and the people of Akure kingdom on this irreparable loss, Ijogun urged them to take solace in God, as death is a time of pain and sorrow.
He prayed for the fortitude to bear the great loss.
Hon. Tayo Oluwatuyi was an alumnus of Oyemekun Grammar School, Akure.
He was the former Vice Chairman of the Akure Branch of the Alumni Association, and has contributed immensely and partook in many infrastructural development of his Alma Mater.
He has also served the government in different capacities, as the Executive Chairman, Akure South Local Government, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and two-time Secretary to the State Government.
