Constituents back Ondo Bishop over comments against Rep Member, Adelegbe

by Roving

Reactions have been trailing a statement credited to the Diocesan Bishop of the Cathedral Church of Saint Andrew, Imola Owo, Revd. Stephen Fagbemi over the inaccessibility of the Ondo lawmaker representing Owo/ Ose Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Timehin Adelegbe.

The Bishop had during a church service challenged Adelegbe of not being accessible since he became the lawmaker asking him to turn a new leaf in the interest of his Constituents who voted him into power.

The lawmaker had reacted to the Bishop’s claims, saying he had lived up to expectations through adequate representation at the National Assembly

The social media has however been awash as Members of the Constituency have been reacting, commending the cleric for being bold to say the truth.

“The Bishop Jane constructively criticise Adelegbe, it is important for the MHR to look inward and correct anywhere he feels he needs to correct .

“The problems of all this politicians are all this supporters who will rather trade crumbs for truth .

“The major core of politics is constructive criticism which the Bishop did.“

In sincerety, what is the big deal if a pastor or anyone blast politician for not do a right thing for is people’s, are we not the one that elected them to represented us, so if there are not do well, no body should talk,  remain small eti won a gbo denden Oro.
For am not in a mood to talk, we are still in pain.

“That’s the best truth shared above. For me,I don’t rate him and can never rate. I don’t have issues with him but I think when talking about 21st century leadership, baba isn’t there at all. And again, our people are rather primitive except for some few, they aid him in doing wrong things.

“I read lamentations from those who supported him but they were warned in the first place but always felt they know more after all, there’s freedom of association.

“Recently, one of us still shared an open appreciation to him that got me laughing real hard. I don’t know for how long we shall keep doing this hurt and disservice to ourselves.“

“Adelegbe spend 6 yrs in office without facilities any employment rather than sharing Okada maruwa to party members the clergy said the truth I hope other clergy can follow the same step maybe our rep can rethink and do the right things we can’t continue like this.“

YOU LIE IM NOT FAR AWAY FROM MY PEOPLE….ADELEGBE

The Federal Lawmaker representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Otunba Timehin Adelegbe has described a purported statement credited to the Diocesan Bishop of Cathedral Church of Saint Andrews, Owo, Rt.Revd. Stephen Fagbemi, accusing him of not being accessible to his constituents since he was elected as a wicked rumor and blatant lie

Otunba Adelegbe would have preferred to ignore the statement, but for the fact that the unfortunate statement was coming from a highly respected clergy during a church service to a large crowd.

Equally, it is our contention that the Lord Bishop was acting on wrong and unverified information from faceless people who are head bent to destroy the unparalleled and unequal credibility of Otunba Adelegbe in the history of Owo/Ose politics

Reacting to the wrong allegation, Otunba Adelegbe said “my line is always on, I pick all manner of calls and if I’m busy, I do return all the missed calls, so, i don’t know where this allegation is coming from because the Bishop has never called me without picking it”

“I’m not far from my people, Owo is my home. It’s on record that I’ve  been judged by the same constituents as a true representative that really cares for his people, considering my monumental achievements in the Owo/Ose Federal constituency in the last six years”.

From available records, Otunba Adelegbe was with his people for the sixth edition of his mega empowerment programme among students, artisans, market women and many different groups, where many went home with tricycles, motorcycles, hair dryers, laptops, cash grants, pumping machines, generators, deep freezers, among others.

Aside from all these, many projects initiated by him had been completed and he has recently released N300 million  to fast track the completion of all ongoing projects in the constituency.

It appears Rt. Rev’d Fagbemi is unaware of the fact that Otunba Adelegbe spent over a fortnight with his people in celebration of the yuletide season.
Otunba Dr. Timehin Adelegbe is equally working assiduously to ensure that his party wins the forthcoming local government election, judging from his moral and financial support to all the party candidates in Owo and Ose LGAs.

One expects to hear a message of love, truth and unity from the altar of God, and not one that was borne out of shared hatred and primarily aimed at tarnishing somebody’s image for no just cause.

The Bishop should not allow himself to be used by some faceless politicians whose stock-in-trade is to spread wicked rumors but instead, the Bishop should face his divine calling to win more souls for God.

Rt. Rev Ayodeji Fagbemi is a man of truth and integrity for as long as I have known him. He won’t have been lying for saying what he said if it wasn’t the truth. Hon. Adelegbe needs to do better if his constituents including the Bishop don’t find his administration friendly. Thanks
