How I donated N100,000 to CAN in 2022 – Ondo Rep, Adelegbe

In view of some recent developments, it has become imperative to make it abundantly clear that Otunba Dr. Timehin Adelegbe, MHR representing Owo/Ose Federal constituency holds the Anglican community and the Christian Association of Nigeria in high esteem, contrary to the erroneous impression being created by some mischief makers that are hell bent on tarnishing his good image with the claim that he is someone who has no interest of his constituents, the Anglican community and the Christian Association of Nigeria at heart.

It is unimaginable that Otunba Adelegbe, a caring, performing and God-fearing man could be described as an elected representative that is inaccessible to his people and hostile to the Anglican community.

In recognition of his love, interest and support for the Christian body, Hon. Dr Timehin Adelegbe was appointed in 2022 as the Patron of the Christian Association of Nigeria (C.A.N) Ifon zone under the Chairmanship of Venerable Ebenezer Aladegbami, who is now the Dean, St. Andrews Cathedral Imola, Owo.

Hon. Adelegbe donated the sum of #100,000 to the Association along with a set of startimes TV that he equally donated to the St. Paul’s Anglican Church Vicarage, Ifon.

He also promised to be of further assistance to the Anglican community and the Christian Association of Nigeria, whenever his assistance was required.

In December, 2024, the Christian Association of Nigeria, Okeluse Chapter presented an award of excellence to the Federal lawmaker in recognition of his visionary leadership, positive political influence, community development and empowerment drive.

The award ceremony was well attended by a good number of highly respected men of God and community leaders, among other important dignitaries from various Churches in Okeluse and its environs.

Otunba Dr. Timehin Adelegbe has refused to be distracted by the antics of his political detractors that are bent on destroying his good reputation through their engagements in all manner of falsehood that are deliberately aimed at portraying him in a bad light.

Otunba Dr. Timehin Adelegbe has a lot of respect for the Diocesan Bishop of Owo Cathedral, Reverend Stephen Fagbemi and will never be tempted to treat his exalted office with disdain.

This man called adelegbe is very funny. Just because people told you the truth, your disgrunted supporters who who are only after what they will get from you are now defending you. What is #100,000 to an organization such as CAN? It is shameful for you to be saying you donated #100,000. Be accessible to those who voted you in and let them feel your presence.
