Adelegbe Timehin MHR OSE/OWO federal constituency for series of embarrassments and assault to the prestigious indigenous students union; Federation Of Okeluse Students Union (FOSU) of his hometown.

“During the courtesy visit of the Federation Of Okeluse Students Union (FOSU) to the MHR today at his residence to discuss some matters affecting the students of his hometown and to also acknowledge his presence today, the MHR failed to recognise the presence of the student union after series of Aluta gyrations by the students in three different locations today at Okeluse his hometown.

“The MHR on his response to the students union (FOSU) ask them to vacate his premises in the general public and also assaulted the members of the students union by hitting them and using fowl languages to angrily chase them away from his resident today at Okeluse.

“The actions of the MHR has today proven him to be;

1.A leader who lack good leadership qualities such as, emotional intelligence, empathy and compassion, communication skills, positive attitudes and the likes.

2. A leader who doesn’t believe on democracy as the government of the people, by the people and for the people.

3. A leader who doesn’t care about the welfare of the students of his hometown and constituency as education is said to be the bedrock of every nation.

“In the light of the above unscrupulous actions exhibited today by the MHR to the students union body of his hometown, it is therefore pertinent and expedient to say that the MHR is not capable enough to steer the affair of his federal constituency.“

They came uninvited – Adelegbe

In a reaction, the Lawmaker rubbished the allegations against him, describing it as the handwork of his enemies who are not happy with his performance.

Adelegbe who spoke through his media aide, Olaniyi Olotu said although the students came uninvited, nothing of such attack or assault occurred during their visit.

“Adelegbe came to Okeluse for a purpose, and the student body never informed him that they wanted to see him.

“They still came, and they were welcome. I was there that day. They were there singing, songwriting songs. I gave them some amount of money.

“Apart from me, other people gave them money. When this incident occurred, I don’t know. I know nobody saw that kind of thing. I just said it’s a kind of political game. Just to call a dog, a bad name. It never happened. it’s far from the truth.

“That even, last year, Adelegbe carried out the Empowerment Programme, where many students benefited, even the president and some of his executives benefited from the cash grants and laptops that were given to the students body.“

I’ve said it few days ago,when CAN members accused him of hiding himself from his people. His attitude towards the student union in his his home town has further demonstrated that Adelegbe is not a leader but an opportunist who was handpicked by the late Akeredolu. He should be removed through ballot in the next election. CAN is right afterall. All those defending him because of the crumbs they are getting from him should hide their heads in shame.
