A video of a Nigerian Billionaire, Rasaq Okoya’s children flaunting bundles of mint Naira notes featuring a police officer has been trending and captured attention online.
As the police officer held onto the bundles of cash, Siraheem and Wahab Okoya, the sons of Razaq and Shade Okoya, celebrated by spraying and showing off their family’s wealth and affluence.
The viral clip has triggered varying opinions on social media with many raising concerns about the abuse of Naira notes by the billionaire’s children.
Some Nigerian have however questioned the duty of the police officer, wondering why the police officer is featured as an assistant rather than a security personnel.
Reacting, the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi who condemned the act said on X that the police officer had been identified and detained for disciplinary actions.
He said, “The policeman captured in the recent viral video shared by the sons of the lagos businessman, Chief Okoya, where they were abusing the naira, has been identified and detained for disciplinary action.
“The involvement of the policeman has been condemned, as it’s unethical.
“We will always strive hard to uphold the sanctity, credibility, and core values of the police. Thanks.“
