In a remarkable show of support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Prince Aderosoye Emmanuel Fadola, a prominent chieftain of the party and business mogul, has distributed cash gifts and campaign posters to all APC candidates contesting in the January 18 Local Government Area elections in Ifedore LGA, Ondo State.
The event, which took place in Ilara-Mokin, saw the convergence of APC candidates, including chairmanship and vice chairmanship aspirants, as well as councillorship candidates from all 10 wards of the LGA.
The chairmanship candidate receives the sum of ₦300,000, the vice chairmanship candidate ₦200,000, and each of the councillorship candidates ₦100,000.
Speaking on behalf of Prince Aderosoye, the Coordinator of Team Dero, Ayodeji Akintayo, expressed the motivation behind the gesture. He noted that the move was born out of a deep love for the APC and a desire to see the development of Ifedore LGA and Ondo State at large.
“This gesture is a testament to Hon. Prince Aderosoye Fadola’s commitment to the growth of our party and his vision for a prosperous Ifedore LGA and Ondo State. He is determined to empower our candidates and strengthen our chances in the upcoming elections,” Akintayo said.
In his remarks, the APC Chairman in Ifedore LGA, Akinloye Bolarinwa, lauded the initiative as unprecedented in the political history of the area and the state.
“This is the first of its kind in Ifedore LGA and Ondo State at large. Hon. Prince Aderosoye has set a standard in political leadership and support, showing that he truly believes in the APC and the people of this region,” he stated.
The party’s secretary, who also spoke at the event, described Prince Aderosoye’s gesture as inspiring and a great morale booster for the party.
Beneficiaries of the cash gifts expressed their heartfelt appreciation, describing the APC chieftain as a visionary leader and a pillar of support for the party.
One of the councillorship candidates said: “Prince Aderosoye has proven himself to be one of the finest political leaders Ifedore has seen in recent times. His support goes beyond words; it is practical and impactful, and we are grateful for his generosity.”
It is noteworthy that Prince Aderosoye also purchased nomination forms for some councillorship candidates, a significant investment running into millions of naira.
His continued efforts to bolster the APC’s presence in Ifedore LGA underscore his dedication to the party’s success and the region’s development.
