The Association of Nigerian Broadcasters (ANBROAD), Ondo State Chapter, proudly joins Nigerians nationwide in marking the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, observed annually on January 15. This day is dedicated to honoring the bravery and sacrifices of the Nigerian Armed Forces who have served and continue to serve in defense of the nation’s peace, unity, and sovereignty.
Since its establishment in 1970, Armed Forces Remembrance Day has symbolized the nation’s collective gratitude to those who paid the ultimate price during the Nigerian Civil War and other national and international peacekeeping missions. It also highlights the contributions of veterans and active personnel whose commitment ensures the safety and security of all Nigerians.
ANBROAD Ondo State Chapter takes this opportunity to reaffirm the vital role of broadcasters in fostering unity and amplifying the values of peace, patriotism, and national security. As storytellers and conveyors of information, our platforms serve as avenues to honor the sacrifices of our heroes and inspire citizens to actively support initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of veterans and their families.
We urge all members of ANBROAD and media practitioners across the state to use their voices responsibly to promote the essence of this day and ensure the legacies of our fallen heroes remain alive in the hearts of Nigerians. Together, we can build a more united and peaceful nation.
On this solemn occasion, we salute the Nigerian Armed Forces for their unwavering dedication to our country and pledge our continuous support through impactful and ethical broadcasting.
Signed,
