… Hails Aiyedatiwa, ODIEC for successful election
A former Chairman of Ile-Oluji Okeigbo Local Government, Surv. Niran Akinniyi has congratulated the newly elected Council Chairman and the ten Ward Councillors in the Local Government Area for their respective victories in last Saturday ‘s election.
He also hailed the Ondo State Governor, Hon. (Dr.) Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC) for the successful conduct of the local government elections in the state.
Surv. Akinniyi, popularly called Sogbodilu, urged the newly inaugurated political functionaries to complement Governor Aiyedatiwa’s plans and efforts to develop Ondo State through a rapid transformation of the land and the lives of the people.
As political functionaries closest to the grassroots, he urged them to remain constantly connected with the people so as to be able to know their challenges and offer appropriate and adequate succour.
The immediate past Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Monitoring and Performance reminded them that every position of power in life is a TEST of the holder’s integrity, accountability and sense of responsibility. He urged the new local government helmsman, Hon. Adebare Adeboye, whom he describes as his astute political student to demonstrate exemplary vision, capacity and performance to once again delight the people of IleOluji/Okeigbo with spectacular dividends of democracy
He prayed for a successful tenure for the new Chairman and his deputy Hon Benjamin Akinbobola and all the ten Councillors-elect assuring them of the steady support of the grassroots.
