Akure metropolis in Ondo State on Tuesday night, witnessed the first rain in 2025.
The heavy rain started around 10:30pm lasted for over one hour as it ended around 11:30 pm which is the time Roving Reporters filing this report.
The rain came as a big relief for the residents of the city who have been going through scorching heat and sunshine.
The surprised rain which came without any usual sign brought a bit of cool weather.
However, Roving Reporters gathered that the heavy rain covered the entire Akure city as some residents said they did not see any rainfall at areas like Igoba community, Sijuade, Ilula area, among others.
