PDP Crisis: Atiku, Wike Killing Opposition in Nigeria – Ex-Presidential Aide

by Roving

A former presidential media aide Laolu Akande has blamed former vice president Atiku Abubakar and the FCT Minister Nyesom Woke as being responsible for the crisis rocking the opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Nigeria.

According to Akande, the two Politicians have through their actions killed the opposition party in the country.

He stated this on Thursday while featuring on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily as monitored by Roving Reporters .

Akande said, “It is what PDP sowed, that PDP is reaping and it goes down to two people. Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Nyesom Wike. It’s as simple as that.

“You must give Wike the credit, because he made it very clear that this was where the problem started.  So Wike is right, in my view, to say that, look, the presidency should be coming to the South. So he has become the voice of reason on that issue.

“We have a national consensus in Nigeria that says, North gets eight years, South gets eight years. Between 2015 and 2023, you have President Buhari from the North. Guess what? We are going to have , from 2023, for eight years, we’re going to have somebody from the South.

“We will not have somebody from the North. And that is where Atiku Abubakar comes in. He will have to wait, you know, and the fact that he did not wait in 2023 is the reason why the party has suffered this loss.

“And it is very possible that this is the end of PDP. I’m not saying it is, but it’s very possible if they don’t manage it, because Wike is very strong. I mean, Nwike is going to do everything possible.

“It’s very clear that Atiku wants to come out in 2027. But I can assure you, and Nigerians know, that Nwike will stop him again, and they’re going to mess up the opposition that we are supposed to have in the democracy. That’s the sad thing. No opposition of any kind.

“No significant opposition and Mr. Abubakar and Mr. Yeson Nwike, they are the people that are responsible for that. I mean, it’s so painful to think about all of the issues.“
