The lawmaker representing Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Constituency in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Akinsuroju Akindolani Nelson has facilitated the rehabilitation of the damaged Ogbontuntun bridge and clearing of waterways in the area.
The project is part of the COVID-19 action recovery and economic stimulus programme of the Ondo State Community and Social Development Agency.
It was partly funded by the lawmaker through the Counterpart fund payment on behalf of the Ogbontuntun Community Development Association.
The lawmaker who was present at the construction site on Thursday assured residents that the rehabilitation of the bridge which as caused a lot of hazard to the community becomes a necessity for him as he prioritize the welfare of his constituents.
He also commended the Ogbontuntun Landlord Association which formed the Ogbontuntun Community Development Association for cooperating with his team and the Ondo State Community and Social Development Agency for the swift commencement of the project.
In a remark, the project manager, Engr. Oluwasogo Ogundowole assured the constituents that there would not be any delay in the completion of the project as the contractor would deliver on time.
He however urged road users to use other routes during the period of the construction to avoid accidents or damage to the project.
The Chairman of the Ogbontuntun Community Development Association, Alhaji Akewusola commended the lawmaker on behalf of the association, he also urged the lawmaker to continue his community friendly policies as his impact will forever be remembered.
