The Ondo state Police Command has invited a legal professional, Wale Odusola over what the force described as a case of conduct likely to cause breach of peace.
In a letter dated 12th February 2025, and signed by CSP Adesanya Oyekanmi, the Officer in charge, CP Special Operation Squad said “This office is investigating a case of conduct likely to cause breach peace, which is a subject of petition in my office And your name was features.
“You hereby requested to report to this office on Monday 17th day of February, 2025 at about 10:00am, in other to interview the commissioner of Police through the Officer in charge of scorpion office, Wesco Estate Along Futa North gate Akure, On your Arrival you can make use of this phone number 08068354842.”
Reacting, Odusola said, “Just yesterday I received an invitation from the police asking me to report to the police to answer some questions.
“I do not know who actually wrote that petition against me and I don’t want to make a guess. They said I should appear before the police on Monday by 10 o’clock.
“So I’m going to be the guest of the police by 10 o’clock on Monday. The letter of invitation sent to me was titled, Conduct likely to cause breach of the peace.
I know it can only be all connected with the videos I made recently, where I expressed my opinion about the budget and about things concerning Ilaje which is my immediate constituency.
“So I will not pre-empt anybody for now. I just want to get there and see who wrote that petition against me and what and what my offence could possibly be.
“But I think if it’s all about that video, it’s going to be a long journey because they can’t take away my right to express myself.
I’ve just expressed myself in that video and I did not indict anybody. I did not indict anybody. So let us see how it goes.“
